project description:
This new Lithgow Hospital was built on a 5.91 hectare site five (5) kilometres south of Lithgow. The hospital is single level brick veneer construction built around five (5) internal courtyards and provides 60 beds in private and public wards. Facilities include three (3) operating theatres, medical centre, rehabilitation area, kitchen and store rooms. The hospital's air conditioning relies on a geothermal system of heat transfer.
